Our care providers are totally committed, highly qualified and carefully selected individuals who are thoroughly screened, insured, bonded and licensed (where necessary). More importantly, our Caregivers are experienced, dependable and extraordinarily caring of others.

In addition to their previous experience, our Caregivers receive continuous training that includes a specialized curriculum on dementia care. Also, they are able to drive clients to appointments (in their vehicle or yours): they have the insurance coverage to do so (excludes live-in caregivers).

ScotiaCare provides non-medical and companion care to Seniors and the disabled who want to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

Perhaps you know someone who's involved in your community, and who loves helping Seniors? Maybe at your church, club, gym or community centre? Please tell them about ScotiaCare: we are actively seeking experienced Caregivers who have a few hours a week to spare.

Our Caregivers are all loving and dependable people, who are committed to making a difference in the lives of our clients.
Please respond if you have impeccable references, a clean driving record and an exemplary background. We only accept Caregivers who have experience with the elderly or disabled - be it paid, unpaid, family or voluntary, it's the experience that counts, not the résumé.

We provide flexible schedules for part-time, full-time and live-in positions, as well as up-to-date and ongoing caregiver training and competitive pay with benefits and numerous bonuses. Please note: a vehicle is required for most clients/assignments.

Applying to Join the ScotiaCare Team - Some Do's & Don'ts
We receive many, many résumés - people want to work for ScotiaCare because we look after our staff. Follow these guidelines to ensure your application gets seen....

Do apply using the Job Application Form. It must be completed in your own hand-writing.
Don't just send a résumé on its own without a Job Application Form - it will be ignored.
Do include your volunteer, unpaid and family caregiving experiences - these rarely make it on to a résumé.
Don't phone the office asking for work - you will only be asked to complete a Job Application Form. If you're good and you have experience, apply.
Do check your references - because we do. And do inform your references you've applied.
Don't phone the office enquiring about the status of your application: only those asked to attend an interview will be contacted.
Do be honest - with us, with your references and, most of all, with yourself.
